A Walk From Venice To Santa Monica

I've been out here for close to 6 months now. I don't get too many visitors from home often, so when I heard Francesca was coming into town I got pretty darn excited to show someone my new home. She had 24 hours which limited my stops, but we were able to venture by bus to Venice only to step foot in the water and quickly decide we should walk along the water instead of the walk path. The Santa Monica pier looked deceivingly close so we made it our destination. Here are the shots from that walk.

this top image is an idea i've had to shoot before my camera ran away with someone else. it's still a bit dirty but just a rough sketch of this merging idea. i did a few night time shots and felt the need to include the decline of a hill in both of them. these hills are foreign to the miami topography i'm used to. a couple neighborhood shots with canopy that reminds me of the grove and of course the roomates, chris and nate. boy do i feel good to have a camera back. thanks seth.

Since Its Been Gone...

Since my camera got stolen, I've been very reluctant to look at other photo websites, even to go through my own photos. It's been two weeks now and the moneys are being directed away from fun and towards a goal of having a camera for the beginning of fall (Sep 22nd, 5:18 p.m. EDT). In the meantime I brought myself to sift through some images that were edited out from my early days here. These here are from my first beach day in Santa Monica. I plan on going through them in order from earliest to the last set of photos I have saved on the compute. In the meantime its painting and printing time. See you all around. Oh Miami, Ill be by on the 1st to give you a high five.
